Bosch Performance motor with eMTB mode
We especially like the fact that this bike comes with eMTB mode. Although, as the name suggests, this special power assistance mode was designed for mountain biking, it has fantastic benefits for riding in traffic.
eMTB mode means the motor adds in extra power when it senses that you are putting more power from your legs through the pedals. So, for stop-start traffic, this is brilliant for getting you up to speed straight away. Simply put a bit more force down through your pedal and the power will be there.
Really nice riding position
Unusually for a city e-bike like this, the handlebars are a little swept back which allows for a relatively upright riding position. When you're riding around towns and cities, it feels a lot safer to have your head high so you have a long line of sight.
Other nice features
+ The tyre width makes for a comfortable ride and will make it possible to ride on well-maintained gravel tracks.
+ The battery is very easily removable for security or indoor charging.
+ MIK rear rack. Compatible with several high quality rear bags.
Summary: For a bike that is made to Gazelle's high standards, the Medeo represents fantastic value for money. Great for journeys around towns and cities.
