About the Wisper Tailwind Crossbar Comfort
A complete commuter-hybrid electric bike that brings together quality components in a neat, sporty and smooth package.
The Tailwind range is the latest development from British-brand, Wisper, who have always designed their electric bikes with British riders in mind. So, you'll notice that this bike has tyres with a good width to them which makes them comfortable over tarmac but also gives you much more control on gravel paths and woodland trails; the type of riding that the vast majority of our customers like to do.
We think this is a very neat design. Nothing looks over-done or out of place. The frame is long and sporty, so if you need to be a little bit more upright, ask one of our team members about an adjustable headstem which will help you find the best seating position.
We find the motor works well with the Shimano gearing which gives a smooth ride overall and it certainly is possible to ride above the 15.5mph motor cut-off (as long as you're in a good gear).
The battery is very well integrated into the frame so the bike looks like a conventional commuter-hybrid bike and it also has a beautifully bright and clear display on the handlebars so you can easily see your speed, your power assistance level and battery level.
This would make a good choice for a commuter, or a leisure rider who won't be doing any rough terrain. The 48cm frame will fit most riders but if in doubt, please ask a member of staff.
