About the Wisper 705 26"
Representing extremely good value for money, especially if you’re not on the market for a crank drive bike, this bike is an excellent all-rounder.
> Smooth-riding: Double the number of cadence sensors makes the bike responsive and smooth to ride.
> Classic step-through frame with sweptback handlebars for a comfy riding position.
> Choose between cadence and torque sensor systems.
Classic Wheel Size
For most riders in the UK, 26" wheels would be the size that you would have used when graduating to an adult size bike, so unlike other stepthrough e-bikes which use a European 28"/700C size.
If you need a smaller wheel size, check out the 24" version.
Choose your power system:
Cadence/speed sensors
Cadence sensors turn the power on when pedals are turned forward and turn the power off when pedalling stops. There are magnets on the inside of one of the pedal cranks. As you turn the pedals, these magnets pass the cadence sensor. As the magnets pass the sensor, the system gives you extra power from the motor. When you stop pedalling, the magnets stop passing the sensor, and the extra power stops. It's a simple, reliable system that has been employed for years.
Torque sensors
Torque sensors recognise when and how much pressure is being put onto either pedal. Power will increase as the pressure on the pedals increases. In other words, pedal harder, and the bike will give you more power. Power is available immediately pressure is put onto either pedal. So… if the bike is starting from standstill, encounters a hill, a strong headwind or if the bike is heavily laden, the torque sensor will recognise that more pressure is being put onto the pedals and the bike will offer more powered assistance. It’s very simple and very clever!
