About the Tern HSD P9
An e-bike that quite beautifully bridges the gap between it's big brother Tern GSD cargo bike and the folding e-bikes beloved of city dwellers.
Compact but with carrying capability
The HSD has 20" wheels so it's as small as many folding bikes, and while the frame doesn't fold, the handlebars do, and the seatpost collapses down. The rear rack is as large as the GSD's so will take a child seat, large panniers, a seat pad or even a special rear carrier tray.
Hard-working, hard-wearing components
All of this e-bikes components are of top quality too, with a Bosch Active Line Plus motor, Shimano disc brakes and Shimano 9-speed gearset. If you are looking for a small electric bike that is for more than just the odd countryside ride - something that you can use day in, day out - then this is tough enough to do it.
Summary: Just like the GSD, the HSD has an agile feel to it, which might surprise anyone looking only at photos of it. A small bike built for the busy, urban family.
