Super Comfortable
The first thing we noticed when we took this on a test-ride was how comfortable it is. This is one of the reasons we really love stocking the Scott e-bike range. Without fail, the seem to get the geometry right which is good news for the rider. It makes it much easier to soak in a good ride when you're not constantly adjusting how you sit on the bike.
NEW: Bosch SX motor
This is a great choice of motor for an e-bike like this. It's much lighter than the other Bosch motors yet still gives 55Nm of torque. This gives the bike a nice light feeling when cruising over the tarmac but it won't guzzle up the battery power as fast as the other motors. It also gives the bike a classic bike silhouette. It doesn't scream "electric bike".
For commuters, with the stop-start nature of rush hour traffic, you can have confidence pulling away from traffic lights and junctions, because the relative lightness of the bike makes those first few pedal strokes nice and smooth.
Sprint Mode
We particularly liked the Sprint Mode on this e-bike. It's extremely responsive to the rider (especially ones who have a nice high pedal cadence). When you pedal between 70 and 90 rpm, the motor gives you 280% assistance which feels amazing. It's meant to encourage you to pedal a bit more and when the bike feels as good as that, you definitely will!
