About the Scott Lumen eRide 920
This e-bike is the closest thing we have found to a classic full-sus mountain bike. If you're looking for something that rides like your favourite MTB, but just with a boost, go for the Lumen eRide 920.
Lightweight and Agile
You know we love the heavier 'full bodied' eMTBs here at Energise E-bikes, but we also really appreciate a lightweight eMTB like the Lumen. The slimmed down chassis gives it an agility and responsiveness that just makes you smile when you're going over the trails.
At 18.1kg, this is about as light as an eMTB can get, and it gives it a ride sensation that's very close to a classic mountain bike. It's easy to get into the flow of riding, and from a logistical standpoint, it's easier to pack into your car.
The Lightest, Most Compact Motor
At just 1.85kg, the TQ HPR50 is the lightest, quietest and smallest e-bike system in its class. As the rider, you benefit from a higher bottom bracket, lighter bike, and more natural pedal motion, which in turn means you have a lot more agility than when you're on a chunkier e-bike.
What we noticed with the TQ motor is that the pedal motion is seamless. There is no resistance and no ratcheting when turning the pedals. This enhances that sense of flow and smoothness when riding. While it isn't the most powerful motor, it is the most polished and you never get the sense that the motor is overplaying its part.
TwinLoc - Suspension to the power of two
TwinLoc is Scott's exclusive suspension technology that allows you to adjust the level of 'bounce' you get. You might not want huge amounts of suspension when you're going along the flat, for example, so with a click of the lever on your handlebar, you can stick both front and back suspension into 'Lockout' and you can push on without feeling like the energy is wasted in up and down motion.
