Value for Money
We don’t stock many e-bikes at this price point so the Stride S is something of a rare treasure in our collection. While this won’t be a bike that you take on super-long trekking journeys, it will be the bike that puts the fun and zest back into your riding.
The Akima rear motor makes this bike nippy and gives you an excellent level of uphill boosting. Like all hub motors, you don’t get the velvet smoothness of a mid-motor but this won’t be an issue for many riders. If it's an uphill push you want, you'll get it.
Make Your Daily Journeys As Simple as Possible
For those riding casually, you won’t need a bike that is more complex than this. That is to say, this bike is simple, unfussy, and intuitive. This keeps bike rides a pleasure, not a science. No apps to download, no unusual bike geometry to get used to: just pedal, and let the bike pedal with you.
Comfortable without the Bulk
We find that the most comfortable e-bikes are also the heaviest ones but the Stride S manages to be comfy without the bulk. The designers have selected a very good saddle which will keep your lower back happy, while the height and angle of the handlebars should keep your upper back happy.
Do ride in the right gear
The Akima motor does want the rider to be in a good gear. You won’t get the full potential of the motor otherwise. Don’t worry if you’re not used to bike gearing, just experiment. Change gear until you’re in light, brisk rhythm that you can comfortably maintain.
Don’t get too adventurous
For firm, well-maintained trails, you will love riding a bike as comfortable as this. However, it uses a slim tyre profile which won’t grip in wet mud. Also, it won’t have the same long range as a mid-motor with 600Wh battery has, so plan your journeys ahead of time. Don’t get stuck halfway up the Pennines with nowhere to recharge!
In an ideal world - a Biketopia if you will – households everywhere would have a bike like the Stride S so people can easily pop into town, get to work, or take in beautiful stretches of the coastline.

Energise E-bikes have in-house workshops that are equipped to diagnose, repair and maintain this model of e-bike, and any model we sell. We will only stock e-bikes from manufacturers who can provide spares and technical training.
