About the Neomouv Malva electric bike
Sold out: If you are intested in this bike, send us a message and we can let you know if/when it is back in stock.
The first one of these that we ever sold was actually a pre-owned one and we were so impressed with it that we decided to stock it ourselves.
Comfort Factor
We really like stepthrough e-bikes because of the comfort factor. The seating position allows for your weight to come off the upper body (particularly off the wrists) so you can sit in a natural, upright position.
The Malva gets the comfort factor spot on. The riding position is tall but still natural, and we think the factory-issued saddle measures up very well against some of the premium after-market options.
Is Lack of Suspension a Problem?
We found that the ride was not affected by the lack of suspension because the tyres, wheels and spokes are of good quality, and soaked up a lot of the bumps in the road.
While some sit-up-and-beg style e-bikes are on the chunky side, this one is wafer-thin in comparison and makes it at handy choice if you are thinking about taking this on a train.
It’s also good for anyone who is planning on using the power-assistance as lightly as possible. Once you’re up and running, let’s say along a flat stretch of canal path, there’s no need for masses of extra power.
Power and Range
We’ve been impressed by the Aikema motor. We don’t typically stock rear hub motors for our full-sized bike collection, but we found that in power level 3 and upwards, it compares very well to a mid-drive motor.
Compared with a Bosch system e-bike, you won’t get the maximum power or range, but if your cycling muscles are well-developed, or you don’t plan on epically long journeys, this bike represents excellent value.
Key stats: 28" wheels / 8-speed gears / 42Nm torque / 19.5kg

Where can I service/repair this e-bike?
Energise E-bikes have in-house workshops that are equipped to diagnose, repair and maintain this model of e-bike, and any model we sell. We will only stock e-bikes from manufacturers who can provide spares and technical training.
