Easy to Handle
Although not a folding electric bike, the Street 3 is a compact, 20" wheel e-bike that works well for those who need to bring their bike inside (into an apartment or office building for example) or who need to have a bike that's easy to transport either in the back of a car or in a motorhome.
It's a nice size for those who are returning to riding after a long time and would feel more confident being closer to the ground.
Rides like a full-size e-bike
Despite its small size, it does ride like a full-size bike, and has a battery that matches bigger bikes too. The overall length of the bike is not too far off a full-size bike, and the geometry is well-balanced, so while it can be described as a 'mini-velo' you wouldn't know that to ride it.
You might notice that the front forks are angled well forward to give the bike more stability than other bikes its size. This helps you stay in control, and avoids the kind of shaky steering that you get on scooters.
Great for Beginner Riders
We've added this bike to our 'Best E-bikes for Beginners' list as well because there are a couple of features that will help give a new or nervous e-bike rider some confidence:
- The compact size of the bike means it is low to the ground, which we have found that nervous riders prefer (or those recovering from joint surgery, for example)
- The smooth Bafang mid-motor never 'surges' or forces the bike forwards aggressively means you always feel in control and the bike never feels like it is running away from you. Some of the more aggressive motors can put off nervous riders.
