About the Haibike Trekking 7 Blue

What the Manufacturer says...

The Trekking 7 is perfect for comfort oriented, adventurous eBikers. With the Trekking 7, you have a true all-rounder by your side that will take you comfortably to any destination. High-quality components guarantee maximum riding fun. Thanks to the reliable Shimano Deore 11-speed groupset and robust 27.5" tyres, you are equipped for any plan you have in mind with this German traffic licensing regulations-compliant Trekking eBike - from cruising through the city to long weekend trips.

Large 'fuel tank'

With 630wh in the battery, you will get seriously high mileage on this bike. The caveat to this is that to get the most out of your battery charge, you will need to ride efficiently and make good use of the 11-speed gearing.

The bike is built to be an 'SUV' so it is heavy. If you find yourself in the wrong gear, the motor will use a big injection of battery power to help prevent this substantial e-bike from slowing. Get into good gear-changing habits, and you'll be able to ride for longer than you ever imagined.

Since large batteries encourage long rides, you may wish to invest in a more comfortable saddle. While the front end of the bike is supremely comfortable, the rear has no suspension so a gel saddle would be a good add-on to go for.

Good on road, Great off road

Like most trekking e-bikes, the Trekking 7 goes very well on road, and you will absolutely love how easily you will be able to do a hill start. However, it's real value is in heading out into nature and off the tarmac.

With good hybrid tyres, and 70nm of torque coming from the motor, the rougher pathways and bumpy terrain of the countryside are easily handled.

As mentioned above, the bike has a fair amount of heft. If you need to transport it, a tow bar rack would be best (ask in-store for details).

Otherwise, take advantage of the large battery capacity and ride from home to your out-of-town destination: then there's no need to worry about parking.
