About the E-Go Max Plus
Fat tyres...why the heck not?
So you need a folding electric bike but you need it to handle, let's say, imperfect roads and tracks. Traditionally, smaller wheeled bikes are not the most comfortable things on the planet. Much like how the fine point of a gramophone needle (remember them?) picks up every scratch on a vinyl record, the small wheels of a folding bike tend to find every little crack in the road.
The solution provided by the Max Plus by E-go are fat tyres. They might look a little frightening at first but you'll be glad to have all that 'air suspension' the first time you go over an unexpected pothole. If you are lucky enough to be somewhere with sandy tracks, this bike will excel there too. Doesn't that sound great? Riding an electric bike near the beach? Heaven.
Foldable
A lot of you will want a bike that can fit in the car so you can go and find somewhere a bit more exciting than your cul-de-sac to ride the bike. This will fit the bill. The seat post will go all the way down, the whole head stem and handlebar swing down to lay flush against the front wheel, and then the whole frame folds in half at the hinge.
Neat where it counts
The fact that the battery is hidden within the seatpost makes this a really neat looking bike - despite the wider than average tyres. The light at the front is very nicely placed tight to the front of the frame so that it doesn't judder about like you get on some bikes, where the light might be on top of the mudguard. Very neat.
Summary: A small bike with plenty of attitude. The super-handy folding ability just adds to the fun of this little beauty.
