Gravel biking so much fun and e-biking makes it even more so. You're off-road so there's no cars around, but you're on well-maintained (and hopefully not potholed) tracks, so you can get a good pace up and get into a mindful flow of riding in the fresh air. Gravel electric bikes use the design principles of a road e-bike for streamlined efficiency, but with more robust components which can cope with being off-road.
Shimano's mid-drive motor is a great choice of motor for this design of e-bike. The motor gives 60nm of torque; so while this is not the absolute top level of hill climbing power, it will still climb better than most, while balancing power consumption. Remember, the most powerful motors are also the 'hungriest', so something like this - a tier down from the top - will give you good range as well.
Lightweight Carbon frame and forks
Lightness: while not the be-all-and-end-all when it comes to buying an electric bike, a low weight can be extremely helpful for cyclists especially if you need to lift the bike over styles etc. Here the carbon material maintains the stiffness of the frame which means there is little energy wasted in frame vibration. It's hard to explain until you ride it, but this makes the bike super responsive to your riding.
Summary: If riding with freedom away from the roads sounds like your idea of a relaxing yet energising time, check this bike out.
As with all our e-bikes, this is available to test-ride. Contact your nearest showroom to reserve your slot.
