Ironically, writing about the comfort levels on this bike is uncomfortable mainly because it might make all our other bikes seem uncomfortable - which they most certainly are not. It's just that with the 'Cup' saddle, wide tyres, tall front end the ultra smooth motor by Specialized, you would be extremely hard pressed to find anything that comes close to being this comfortable.
One of the great joys of cycling is getting out into a quiet area and soaking up the sounds of nature: birdsong, rustling leaves, waves on a beach. To get the most of that immersive experience, it's great to have an e-bike motor that has as little of its own noise as possible. Crank drives are quiet in general but this motor takes it to another level. The Specialized e-bike motor, crafted by German component manufacturer Brose, has designed an e-bike drive with an internal belt and very little vibration, allowing you to ride in peace and quiet. Oh, and by the way, this version of the motor gives 90nm of torque. As they sing in the Sound of Music: "Climb every mountain!"
It's a good thing there's a 500wh battery in this e-bike because it is extremely likely you will want to spend much longer riding this than you think you will. The 500wh capacity of this bike will get you in the region of 70 miles on smooth tarmac. Make sure to click through your gears and ride with those lovely generously fat tires well inflated to get maximum battery efficiency.
Summary: For riders who seek comfort, utility and reliability. Go Dutch, go Gazelle.

About the Gazelle brand
This is a brand born in the Californian sunshine all the way back in 1974, so you can be certain that it has fun, leisure and adventure at its heart. We have been extremely impressed by the overall feel of these bikes. They are spritely without being overly aggressive, and comfortable without feeling old-fashioned.
If you want a bike that looks special, you'll want to look at Specialized bikes (pun intended).
