About the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 electric hybrid bike
"What's the most comfortable bike you sell?" It's a question you'll hear in our showroom a fair amount. Many of you who are looking at electric bikes don't necessarily class yourself as a hardcore cyclist. You don't believe in "No pain, no gain" as much as the purist, lycra-clad racer.
So, what is the most comfortable bike that we sell? You'd have to try an awful lot of bikes to beat a hybrid electric bike by Specialized, such as the Vado 4.0. You get a smooth floating sensation while riding these that you just don't get on anything else.
The Vado 4.0 is set up for town and city dwellers. The 700c wheels carry their momentum well on tarmac so you'll find your crosstown journeys are so much easier than on your older 26inch wheeled conventional bike. The combination of the large, wide tyre and front suspension add to the comfort factor.
The 'street tuned' Specialized motor is powerful and completely 'fuss-free'. Whereas some e-bike motors will groan and whine when you ask for more power, these motors are smooth and noiseless. The other 'street ready' features include that lower crossbar so you can hop forward if you need to make a quick stop (like when you get up to traffic light), the really simple, elegant rear rack, and a surprisingly powerful set of integrated lights. You would be very confident to ride this at night.
As with all our e-bikes, you can give them a test-ride, so get in touch to arrange one at your nearest branch.

About the Specialized brand
This is a brand born in the Californian sunshine all the way back in 1974, so you can be certain that it has fun, leisure and adventure at its heart. We have been extremely impressed by the overall feel of these bikes. They are spritely without being overly aggressive, and comfortable without feeling old-fashioned.
If you want a bike that looks special, you'll want to look at Specialized bikes (pun intended).
