About the Raleigh Array crossbar

The Raleigh Array crossbar is a bike designed for town life; although when you take it for a test-ride you might find that it can more than meet the task of going on well-maintained paths too.

What we like about the Array e-bike is that the handlebars are relatively high. This means the riding position is very comfortable. The comfort is further enhanced by a fairly wide tyre, which will give you a sense of stability while riding as well.

The rear hub motor might not have the same punch as a crank drive such as a Bosch motor, but nevertheless, it kicks out 60nM at maximum power which is going to be enough for most hills.

What does help it along is the gearing. The gearing system is a very smooth one, which is a boon on a bike at this price point. Keeping your bike in the most efficient gear is key to keeping your battery range high, so to be able to quickly switch through the gears will increase your mileage.

The display is super simple. Your speed will show up in nice, bright red numbers and equally bright lights show you which power setting you're in. Possibly the simplest display of any e-bike we've sold.

In summary, this bike is good value for money. For commuters, or people who will mostly ride on road, this will make a reliable choice.

About the Raleigh brand

Raleigh is one of the world's oldest and best known bike brands. Established in 1887 in Nottingham England, it's still based there today. Chances are that you rode a Raleigh when you were younger - and maybe you still do now.
Raleigh created iconic bikes such as the Burner, Grifter and Chopper, as well as cutting-edge bikes like TI-Raleigh Tour-de-France-winning 753 steel frames. Their bike design and wheel building still happens at the Head office in Nottingham and it is a tradition that will continue for many years to come.
